Dale and Bapa (Len, circa 1972)

Welcome to Naylen Farms

As a young boy, Dale spent many weekends on his grandparents’ farm, cutting down fencing faster than his grandfather could repair it.  But repair it, he did, with the same patience and care that he showed all animals, crops, and children that they raised back in those days.  Of course, it wasn’t called Naylen Farms back then.  No, back in those days it was just called home; Naydene worked at the hospital, Leonard worked at Abbott’s Dairy, and farming on their North Conway, NH homestead was what they did as a part of their everyday lives.

The story that Naydene and Leonard began all those years ago has come full circle today.  Their grandson, grown now, with children of his own, has returned to those modest roots and is now living that same lifestyle, tending cattle, and repairing fences as a part of his everyday life.  ‘Course, things have changed a bit, too; Dale named the farm “Naylen Farm” in 2015 to honor Naydene and Leonard, the grandparents who loved and nurtured him, and bestowed upon him a great love of farming.  Naylen Farm became “Farms” when Dale met his partner, Aymie, and they joined their farms together.  And in 2023, the Farms grew again with the addition of Meghan Bickford and Jenn Thompson of Bickford’s Diamond B Farm, and Christine Payne of Old Homestead Farm bringing their extensive knowledge and experience to our herd.  Meghan, Jenn, and Chris join our cast of hugely dedicated and talented employees who collaborate with us daily to bring the best quality foods from our farms to your table.
